What about "acceptable" hours?
« on: 2012-06-21 22:04:15 »
Hi,

Great web site for photographers!
Before discovering Jeko Photo, I was building my graphs manually with Sun Earth Tools.
I will now save a lot of time. Thank you  ;)

Nevertheless, one thing is missing for me.
Additionally to Blue hours and Golden hours, I also take into consideration what I call the Acceptable hours: when the sun elevation is below 30° above the horizon, the quality of light is fairly good.
30° is a personal choice. Depending on "how demanding you are" it could be 25° or 35°
But I feel you probably have all necessary pieces of information in your database to compute and display my "Acceptable hours".

Do you think it could be considered for a future version?

Thanks a lot and all the best!

Hi,

thanks for your suggestion. I think this would be a great feature for the next major release of the twilight calculator.
Probably a field where you can enter or select 'your' personal value for the 'acceptable hours'.

Best regards,
Jens
