LICHTBERLIN is a new forum for contemporary light art in the public urban space of Berlin. LICHTBERLIN takes place beyond the landmarks and urban centers in the green space and dark areas which are undiscovered at night. It is dedicated to the contemplative visitor. In place of effect lights as city advertisement light works are forming, which are dealing quietly with a new perception and identification with the urban area of Berlin. LICHTBERLIN is a spatially concentrated route with amazing light installations. In 2007 it is located at the Berlin Tiergarten and its 11 stations are created by 14 international light artists. The great visual impact is the combination of nature and modern light art. Starting from 2007 it will take place regularly in the autumn.
